SLEUTH OUT REAL INCIDENTS
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to solve all the levels of the failure scenarios in our Breakathon.
PagerDuty’s Breakathon is like a hackathon but with ‘breaks’ to investigate in order to win the game. Put on your best Sherlock Holmes cap and join us to sleuth out debugging issues and fix real incidents. Participants will work in teams of 2-4 and will compete against other teams to resolve issues the quickest Magnifying glass and pipe not included.
CONTEST DETAILS
In simplest terms, Breakathon is a timed contest with multiple levels. Each level consists of a live web application that’s broken in an interesting way. To solve the mystery, you’ll need to SSH into the application hosts, use the clues to diagnose the problem, and fix it quickly. Levels start with the easier problems and get progressively harder.
The team that solves the mystery, completing all of the levels the fastest, wins! And yes - there are many prizes to be won - door prizes, level prizes, super sleuth prizes, and more.
Doors open at 4:00pm, and our support crew will be onsite to help you get set-up with a team and ready for when the game kicks off at 4:45pm. Join us in Tower A.
Breakathon will give you a chance to solve tough operational infrastructure mysteries, test out your best hunches, win cool prizes, and eat and drink with members of the local DevOps community while playing.
